About the Role
Are you passionate about language and eager to hone your editing skills? We're seeking a detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, style, and a passion for God’s Kingdom to join our team as a Copy Editor. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with minimal editing experience to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
-Review and edit written content for clarity, coherence, and correctness
-Correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors
-Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting
-Collaborate with writers and other team members to refine content
-Learn and adhere to editorial guidelines and standards found in The Christian Editor's Manual of Style
-Take direction from senior editors and incorporate feedback to improve skills
-A commitment to learning and maintaining the author voice of all clients

Requirements
A commitment to advancing God's Kingdom on the Earth

Strong command of the English language

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desire to learn and willingness to accept feedback
Familiarity with basic editing principles (preferred but not required)
Access to Microsoft Word/Google Docs
